Technician Rudy Snow was great! What had happened was…Our A/C stopped pushing cold air. It was the same issue we’d had two seasons ago. That time, we called Anytime Heating & Cooling. They came out and:* diagnosed a refrigerant leak from the “king valve”* loosened the king valve valve stem and retightened it to reseat it properly on the seal (literally a 15 second operation with a crescent wrench)* lastly, they charged the system back and had us running again.The total cost for that service call came to about $840.So when the same thing started happening again in June 2026, we called Anytime out again to take a look. **But**, before placing that call, I did some diagnostic work myself:* I suspected another leak so I bought the same exact leak check fluid that the pros use* I leak-checked the service ports’ Schrader valves* Sure enough, there was a leak* It was slow leak—significant enough to affect performance (obvi), but slow enough to give us about 2 years of cooling before it just didn’t have enough refrigerant in the loop to do its job anymore.* I made sure to capture video evidence of the leak* *NOTABLY*, the Schrader valve caps were NOT screwed back on after the last Anytime guy finished up 2 years prior. And apparently, on *our* particular units, those are designated the **primary** seal on the service ports—the Schrader valves’ internal seals are the secondary seals.* THEN I made the call and we had an Anytime technician at our house the next day.* They did their thing and performed a thorough inspection of the indoor and outdoor units* After that, they came to me to share their findings and give me our options* At that point, I shared *my* findings with him, telling him that I think the problem all traced back to the leak that I found.* I felt like he was like “Yeah, okay dude. I do this for a living…let *me* do the diagnosing”.* *His* diagnosis was a faulty piston valve in the evaporator unit* He proposed 3 options, from cheapest to most expensive:1) replacing the piston valve (but could *not* guarantee we wouldn’t just have the same issue again in a few months)2) doing a partial system replacement (which would’ve involved replacing essentially *everything* except for the heater core (*including* replacing the outdoor condensor))3) lastly, a **complete** system replacement—EVERYTHING.* They quoted us $4,000-$8,000+ to get our A/C unit pushing cold air again* He *did* tighten up the Schrader valve stem on his way out, which immediately stopped that leak (again, another 15 second job)So then we called a second HVAC professional. He agreed with Anytime’s *diagnosis*, however, he said “that fix shouldn’t cost *nearly* that much. More like $1,500 max.”. We asked him to do it, but he didn’t have room on his schedule any time soon and we needed cold air ASAP!Finally, we called Garrison & Garrison. They had Rudy out at our house in no time. I told him everything that Anytime had said and about the leak I’d found. So he’d gone around our house, looking at all of the the stuff that the other 2 guys did, only he came back and said “yeah, I think it was just that Schrader valve leak”. Finally…I felt heard.Since the Anytime tech had already fixed the Schrader valve leak, there was nothing for Rudy to do but recharge our system with refrigerant. With R410a being what it is, that cost us $659.40. With that, we’ve had cold air blowing reliably since July 1st—so 2.5+ months now.In short, Rudy and Garrison & Garrison saved us from spending THOUSANDS on unnecessary work. They were responsive and quick. WOULD RECOMMENDread more

We have used Garrison for years. Our air went out this week and they were able to come the next day. The tech Cody D was wonderful. He spent a lot of time checking and cleaning the unit. He had helpful suggestions and pointed out things we never knew. Once he left our air worked like it was new. Which is amazing since it is well used. The price was very affordable. If you need honest, reliable HVAC service, call Garrison and Garrison. You will speak with a person when you call, not a recorded message telling you to press this or that number to leave a message. My AC stopped during the heat wave. I had two other companies come out and all they did was try to sell me new, way overpriced systems. Garrison and Garrison made the effort to have a technician come out on a timely basis to look at my AC system. The tech Alec was excellent. He communicated well, made sure to tell me when he was going to be there, was prompt, courteous, knowledgable. Alec got the AC repaired and even corrected wiring one of the previous AC people messed up. Alec made a followup visit to make sure everthing was running well. If I ever do need a new system, I’ll call Garrison and Garrison first.read more

Have been delighted by their recommendations and service.Recommendation #1: I had an dying HVAC system that used propane (not electricity) to heat to heat my home. I was spending $2500-$3000 on propane each winter. They recommended an upgraded system which had a better CER number. They also suggested i check out their hybrid system. Hybrids use a heat pump and then propane only when the temperature gets to low. I went with the hybrid and this last winter my gas bill was about $100. The electric bill was lower too. Wow!!! The Hybrids are more expensive to buy but they pay for themselves quickly.Recommendation #2: When I bought the system I paid a bit more and got their 2 year parts and service extended warranty. That saved a bunch as well.Service: The system had a subtle problem that surfaced after a year. It took them three trips to figure the problem out because it was an intermittent problem. Each for their visits solved a symptom but not the problem. But on the third trip, they found the root cause, which involved redoing the duct work. They made that change in an afternoon and it has been working fine since. All was at NO CHARGE to me! Wow… And the service folks were on time, polite, worked on the weekends, were helpful, kept me informed every step of the way and were all round fine people.I strongly recommend them.read more

JULY 2026 – Another review of Garrison & GarrisonI had to replace my 2nd HVAC unit this year, & immediately called Garrison & Garrison based upon my prior great experience. This time Jonathon & Colin did a great job of installing my upstairs unit in the attic during super hot conditions. They completed the installation in a neat & timely fashion, made sure they left the area very clean, and patiently helped us setup our new thermostat. Once again, very happy with this install!Yesterday, Beau Garrison & his crew came out and installed a new downstairs HVAC system. They did a great job in making sure the install was done right. The duct work and cabling was neatly installed & the old unit hauled off & the site cleaned up. Afterwards, Beau was very patient in showing my wife & me how to connect our phones to our new smart thermostat. Today, Ronny came out to check out my upstairs unit to verify that it was also in good working order. He showed great attention to detail in carefully going over the inside and outside components. We smelled a chemical smell in our laundry room on Sunday and our AC was not cooling the house . I called Garrison & Garrison on Monday afternoon (after calling another company who quoted $100 above Garrison and Garrison to come out and diagnose). Rudy (our FABULOUS) technician came by 11am. My husband had replaced the capacitor without luck. Rudy replaced the 2nd capacitor (didn’t know there was one in upstairs unit) but it still wasn’t working. He found our motor needed to be replaced and gave me the part numbers to do it ourselves or he could get it and install the next day. Our attic is very hot and my husband wanted it done by him! Rudy came by 11am today (Wednesday) and worked 2 hours in the heat to fix it! He checked all freon levels, flow, and cleaned the casing. He was amazing and I can’t say enough great things about his work, professionalism, and how well he explained things! He was quick and a great person to work with!
