Ice Skate in the Park
Ice skating is a perfect winter date activity, especially with a nice cup of hot chocolate right after! Located right behind the Huntsville Museum of Art is Skating In the Park, an outdoor venue that has a beautiful skating rink in the winter. If you didn’t make it to the park before its last day of the season, the Huntsville Ice Sports Center is a great place to go for some indoor skating as well!
Take a Winter Hike
For restless days when you just want to get out of the house and explore with your loved one, going on a winter hike is a perfect way to enjoy the cooler weather while getting some sun and exercise! Madison County is home to some beautiful hiking trails that might just be a few minutes from your home! Just south of Huntsville is the Madison County Nature Trail on Green Mountain. With a beautiful view of the hilltop lake, picnic tables, and gorgeous scenery this time of year, this trail is perfect for an outdoorsy date.
Madison County is home to lots of other parks and forests, another one being Belvin’s Gap Nature Preserve Trailhead. The park is home to more than 92 acres of gorgeous views of the forest and rock overhangs. In the wintertime, the cold weather might prompt a warm jacket and hat, but you’ll be sure to warm up as you make your way through these gorgeous trails!
Theater and Ballet
Madison County has so many different opportunities for date nights within the arts!
